Had my HPV vaccine jab today. my arm hurt alot during the injection. needle piercing through skin is not e hurtin part. e injection of vaccine fluid is e 1 tt hurts e most. it is still soring now =(
This is my 1st injection. Have to complete 3 injections over 6 months. Each dosage cost $200.
The cost is high. but prevention is better than cure.
a short explanation of HPV vaccine. Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine is a vaccine that targets certain sexually transmitted strains of human papillomavirus associated with the development of cervical cancer and genital warts. Two HPV vaccines are currently on the market: Gardasil and Cervarix.
GARDASIL is the only cervical cancer vaccine that helps protect against 4 types of human papillomavirus (HPV): 2 types that cause 70% of cervical cancer cases, and 2 more types that cause 90% of genital warts cases.
GARDASIL may not fully protect everyone, and does not prevent all types of cervical cancer, so it’s important to continue routine cervical cancer screenings. GARDASIL will not protect against diseases caused by other HPV types or against diseases not caused by HPV.
