Amirah's Grill @ 9:07 PM

12 Oct 2009, Monday
Being dying to want to try new food.
hence, wenwei surprised me by bringing me to Amirah's Grill at Bussorah Street (near Arab str which is in turn near my house).

Amirah's Grill sells Middle East Western food.
I was quite suspicious about it and worried that the food might not be up to my liking.

nice decoration, really make you feel like you are in middle east.

Their Website, quite nicely done up: http://www.amirahsgrill.com/index.aspx

Food. photo taken by my lousy hp vs the photo from the website.
photo from the website makes the food much more appetitising.

Lebanese Hummus DIP
chick pea puree, sesame sause, lemon juice, serverd with pita bread

ok wenwei was quite afraid that i wouldn't like the food n the lebanese DIP.
but surprisingly, i find it quite nice!!!!
it has quite a unique taste.

Final bill add up to $43 (include service charge, no GST) which i find it abit quite expensive.

Arab street that area is definitely a good place to explore for nice and unique food.

Wenwei's comment...
Read the wonderful comments on Amirah grill, so we decided to check it out. It was our first time trying middle eastern food so we did not know what to expect.

We ordered the special set meal @ $25 and chicken Kebab @ $14.90.

The special set mean consisted of chicken soup, pita and hummus (a kind of dip), mix seafood grill, fresh lemon juice and french cream caramel.

The chicken soup was so-so, more like the chinese type rather than the western type. The pita eaten together with hummus was delicious. For those who dunno what hummus is, it is chick pea puree, sesame sause, lemon juice all mixed together. The taste is rather unique and we like it. The mix seafood grill consisted of 3 HUGE king prawns, fish fillet, mussels, sotong and roasted potato. Everything was grill to perfection. 5 hours after the meal, I can still taste it when I burp. Haha. All the seafood tasted fresh =)

The chicken kebah came with 2 skewers of chicken with the choice of roasted potato or arabic fragent rice. The chicken is tender and also very well grilled. The potion for both main course was quite big. Definitely a good place for big eaters like me. Lastly the french cream caremel dessert is egg pudding with caramel. It is sweet and have a very smooth texture.

The whole restaurant is very middles eastern, from the decoration to the music. Looks like a very authentic middles eastern restaurant. Will go back soon =)
